Explore Syros with our tours! Our mission is to guide you through the beauties of Syros. So, we offer a variety of tours that will introduce you to the island's landscapes, rich history, and vibrant culture. From the imposing capital town Hermoupolis and the quaint citadel of Ano Syros, to cosmopolitan or remote beaches and charming villages, our tours provide an unforgettable experience.
This walking tour sweeps through the architectural marvels and historical landmarks of Hermoupolis. Amphitheatrically built around its harbor, the 'Polis of Hermes' is the capital and biggest city in the Cyclades. The city owes its grandeur to its status as an economic superpower in the 19th century. Among the landmarks that we are going to stroll through is the Town Hall of Hermoupolis, the Miaouli Square, the Church of Saint Nicholas, the Apollo Theater, the Vaporia district with the grand mansions and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, home to the icon 'Dormition of the Virgin' by El Greco.
Experience the beauty of Syros as we explore these two iconic hills and charming settlements on a panoramic sightseeing tour. Our tour coach will take us to the top of the hill where the orthodox Church of Anastasis (Resurrection) is perched offering panoramic views to the Aegean Sea. And after that, to the top of the hill of Ano Syros, the Cycladic citadel of the later Byzantine era at the top of the neighbouring hill.
Note: Tour coaches cannot reach the Church of the Resurrection or the entrance to Ano Syros. Therefore, you will need to walk approximately 150 meters to access both.
Embark on a scenic sightseeing tour and discover charming villages, iconic landmarks, and beautiful churches. This tour will take you a drive along beaches and seaside villages like Azolimnos, Vari and Megas Gialos. We will make a stop to visit the manorial Posidonia and then we will continue to Finikas, Galissas and Kini seaside villages.
Participate in a hands-on cooking class and learn how to make parsley salad, pan seared oat-breaded aged graviera cheese and caramelized pork tenderloin risotto. After the class, enjoy your home-cooked meal with local wine and loukoumi for dessert.
Visit a winery to get acquainted with the local grape varieties and be introduced to the journey through the wine production process, from the vine to the bottle.
